"If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?"
(attributed to Albert Einstein)

     One of the principal aims of our research is to develop scientific foundations of new nanotechnologies for petroleum industry, which imply a control of structural organisation  in molecular and disperse systems of petroleum fluids.

       Main fields of research in recent years:

-molecular properties of asphaltenes;
-effects of asphaltene nanocolloids on bulk properties of petroleum fluids;
-colloids and surfactants in other fluid media.

From a purely practical point of view, studies of asphaltene molecular properties are extremely important for prediction-prevention-removal of deposits in reservoir rocks, in pipelines and in industrial equipment.
